Produce
are loving the sunshine . Everything is growing and tasting delicious.
Strawberries are plentiful, kamokamo & zucchini are tasty & versatile. Plus loads more fresh produce.
Looking for a healthy steak alternative? No modified "walks like a chicken but quacks like a duck" stuff with us, we call it what it really is! Slice a smaller kamokamo an inch or so thick. Marinate in your favourite marinade and then cook on the BBQ (or in the sandwich press!) until lightly charred & golden. Try with a knob of blue cheese &/or mushrooms.
Grate kamokamo or zucchini into fritters, cakes or frittata's. Take a pic of some of our favorite recipes on our stand on Sunday.
SharpAs Tool Tips Pictured is a customer’s prized kitchen hand grater brought in for refurbishment. Years of use had dulled many of the cutting edges, but after sharpening, the customer reports it’s as good as new and ready for many more years of service! If you have kitchen utensils, woodworking or metalworking tools, garden tools, knives, scissors, or other items needing sharpening or reconditioning, come and see me at the Redwood Market – Saturday mornings or the Marlborough Farmers' Market – Sunday mornings or contact me directly at 027 444 5535.
