For the first time to market: our latest new release honey - Lavender 2025

Come and check out its golden aura!

Just a note to our lovely customers - this will be our last Farmers Market for a few weeks as we head off for a bit of adventuring and hopefully some honey research.

Snail House Bakery

Hello bread lovers, Autum is beautiful so come to the market
Rain or shine the Snail House Bakery will be at the market with the tasty and healthy German style rye sourdough bread and the more French style sourdough country loaf, wheat free adventure bread, superseeded multigrain, cinnamon snails, sour cherry pie, Linzer Torte, chia seed crackers, cookies , breadsticks and coconut Pani Popos and so much more.

Love Thy Curry - will have 2 curries for tasting

Malaysian Rendang:

A spicy semi-dry curry, backed up with a fragrant lemongrass, fish sauce and coconut milk gravy.

This curry is designed to be cooked slowly over a couple of hours, until the sauce reduces leaving tender caramelised meat.

Best served with basmati rice and raita on the side.

This recipe can be easily adapted to for a slow cooker.

Mogul Chicken Korma:

If you’re after something mild then this is the curry for you!

Our Chicken Korma has an aromatic creamy nutty flavour due to the almond base and blend of spices. This is a great curry if you have little people who can’t cope with heat.

It has a prep/cook time of 1 hour and it’s totally worth it!

Minghettis will have Sourdough Hot X Bun available from this Sunday.

SharpAs Tool Tips
A client brought in their special Japanese knife after a friend borrowed it and returned it bent. With careful technique, you can sometimes massage a knife back into shape, though there’s always a risk of breakage. In this case, I was able to straighten the knife so the owner can once again enjoy using it!

If you have tools, knives, utensils, or other items needing sharpening or repair, come and see me at the Redwood Market on Saturday mornings or the Marlborough Farmers' Market on Sunday mornings, or contact me on 027 444 5535.
