Cherries, raspberries, blueberries, strawberries. You name it, it’s here. It must be Christmas time.
All berries under one al fresco “roof” at the A&P park this Sunday and again for our Twilight market Friday 23 December. Plus a delicious recipe using cherries in this newsletter.
Busy baking have been Margaret from the Gourmet Deli and Alys from Homemade.Kiwi. Both offering wonderful Christmas cakes, check them out before they are gone. They make great prezzies.
Two markets left til Christmas.
Come on over after work. Ideal to take a break from the chores at home. Meet up with your friends & family and enjoy a relaxing meal from the food trucks. T’is time-out from cooking and doing the dishes.
Enjoy the festive cheer from the wonderful Marlborough Brass band, who will be busking.

One of these are Les and Lyn from Lothlorien Lavender. Having been commercial growers & distillers, Les and Lyn had about 3000 lavender plants in their lavender field when they decided to make honey. “Knowing how much bees love the lavender flowers we thought it would be great to be able to harvest lavender honey”, they said. Now you can taste your way through their range at the market.
We are looking for new team members to help us set up and break down the market, do traffic patrol during market hours and maintain market equipment.
You are
· Fit and strong
· Can follow instructions and show Initiative
· are able to work through the Christmas and New Year period.

I will have those 9 flavours of empanadas that you love for you to put in your freezer for the unexpected visitors. Just heat and eat.
Also, I will be at the twilight market for you to take home for nibbles.
Thanks, Pedro
We are excited to have won 2 gold medals, 2022 harvest, and 2 Best in Class awards at the recent Olives NZ conference and awards ceremony.
Come and taste them for yourself. There are 3 flavours – a mild oil Koroneiki, a single Greek variety, a medium blend, and a robust blend. As they are certified extra virgin oils, they are suitable for cooking.
I also have fill-your-own 2022 Robust oil. Use the mild oil for fish, chicken, eggs, and dipping bread; the medium for general use; and the robust for marinades, salad dressings, roast veggies, and finishing steamed veggies.
All 3 oils have gold medals and this year’s oils are high in polyphenols which provide health benefits for diabetics, heart, and joint disease, due to their antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

These scrumptious Black Forest popsicles are the perfect decadent yet healthy treat in the summer heat!
Simply combine 400mls coconut cream with 100mls of Eden Orchards Pure Cherry Juice. Pour into 6 popsicle moulds and place in the freezer for 2 hours to set. Meanwhile melt 100g dark chocolate. Line a baking tray with grease proof paper. Remove the popsicles from the freezer and quickly dip each popsicle into the melted chocolate, before sprinkling with shredded coconut. Place onto the baking tray and put back into the freezer to set. Enjoy!
Eden Juice is available from the community stall.
