I Marlborough Farmers’ Market…
Feeling a little jaded after Marlborough Food & Wine Festival? Why not come and feast on a big breakfast at Thommy’s with a coffee from Koffie or Ritual.
According to George Bernard Shaw’s ‘Man & Superman’ “There is no love sincerer than the love of food” and we’re very sincere with our love at the Marlborough Farmers’ Market – sincere about providing fresh produce, supporting local businesses and reducing carbon footprints. And it’s all so delicious – what’s not to love?
See you this Sunday from nine til noon at the Marlborough Farmers’ Market!
Is it your partner, your child, your sibling, your parent, or yourself? We put so much love into our food that you simply can’t go wrong choosing a delicious delicacy, tasty treat or gorgeous gift from the Marlborough Farmers’ Market. Whomever you wish to display your affections to on Tuesday … we wish you a great Valentine’s Day.
Delicious delicacies at Feast Merchants, Gourmet Deli, Nutt Ranch, Riverina and Sugarfree Chocolate.
Gorgeous gifts from Garden Bees, Helen’s Garden Plants, Marlborough Nursery, Purple Patch and Traditional Country Preserves.
Tasty treats at Birchgrove, deBroods, Eden Orchards, Marlborough Blueberries, Mississippi Herbs, Somerville Strawberries and Windsong.
STRAWBERRRIES FOR SWEETHEARTS: Dip your fresh strawberries into melted chocolate, leave to set, then serve with love!
How many Farmers’ Marketers does it take to fill a bean bag? Four as it happened. We took it upon ourselves to fill our new bean chairs outdoors and Graeme-the-Farmer’s wellies kept filling up with escapee beans! People do not try this exercise at home – we may love the great outdoors here at the Marlborough Farmers’ Market but some things are simply done best inside!
We’re delighted with our new outdoor furniture, and so are the kids! Of course we also have fresh beans for sale at several stalls – you’ll find a great range of fresh veggies at Field Fresh, Purple Patch and Spudz n Greens.
Don’t miss our weekly Cooking Demonstration from 10.30am with local Chefs cooking their favourite recipes with Farmers’ Market seasonal produce. This week we look forward to watching Baker …
Katherine Riddell showcasing chocolate cake with rose icing
During the demonstration Katherine will offer tips and techniques about the art of icing and there’s an opportunity for you to try your hand at icing too. Then we get to try the finished product – yum – I’ll be in the front row, see you there!
